The Influence of Anthroposophy on Social Work in Camphill Communities
Martina Zmatlíková
Abstract:
The article focused on Camphill community system as a form of community work with mentally disabled people. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The former deals with anthroposophy, its founder as well as its main principles. Furthermore it describes history and development of the Camphill community and three main targets of the system. The latter – i.e. the empirical part – is concentrated on the research the aim of which was to analyse the influence of anthroposophy on social work in Camphill communities. The research emphasises skilful methods of approach based on professionally aimed dialogues. The thesis thus informs about social work which takes into account mental abilities of analysed people and consequently results in communication between two equal individuals – a qualified person and a disabled member of the community. Keywords:
