Professiogram as a Basis for Construction of Educational Programs

Abstract:
OBJECTIVES: The objective of the survey is to demonstrate the possibility to use a systematic description of social work job positions (professiograms) as one of the resources for the design of tertiary education programs. THEORETICAL BASE: Theories of the construction of educational programs and job analysis approach. METHODS: Literature review and case study. OUTCOMES: The possibilities to use professiograms in social work are demonstrated. Connection between the professiogram of a child welfare social worker and requirements for his/ her optimal professional training serves as an example. SOCIAL WORK IMPLICATIONS: The same principle can be used for other job positions and relevant educational social work programs.Keywords:
