Education in social work; the comparison among contents of studies at selected faculties

Abstract:
The contribution presents the genesis of social education in Slovakia, it presents number of informations about the education of social workers in framework of institutional preparation as well as in area of additional education. It might be interesting for an involved reader to look into the comparision of educational study contents of the field social work in Slovakia and in Czech republic according to various spheres of education. This contribution may be inspiring for educators in social work; some findings can be used as a basis at the compilation of minimal standards of education in the field of social work for the Slovak Association of educators in social work that is drawing up the standards at present.
