What Does „Social Pedagogy“ Mean in Germany?

Abstract:
Author tries in the article to explain, what does the term “social pedagogy” in Germany mean and which has content. Firstly he clears-up the two words of the compositum and then distinguishes the four concepts of social pedagogy: social pedagogy as a collective pedagogy, as pedagogy of social disadvantaged youth, as pedagogy outside of family, business and finally as pedagogy of living situations.
