The Consequences of Modernisation for Social Work

Abstract:
Social work is inseparably connected to the project of modernism and to its development. At present, modernism is going through the second stage of modernisation. As social work is closely tied to the development of modernism, it is necessary to discuss the consequences of modernisation for social work. The aim of this paper is to newly reflect on the definition of social work in the conditions of post-industrial modernism as well as on the possible scenarios of social work development.
