The importance of supervision in social work – the example of Sweden

Abstract:
In the present paper Mona Franséhn focus on the development of supervision in social work in Sweden from the early 80ies up to now, and then mainly on supervision for professional social workers. She describes how this area has developed and in which way supervision for professionals has contributed to the professionalization of social work in Sweden.
