Theories and Models of Disability

Abstract:
The aim of survey article is to describe theories and models of disability for the purposes of Czech social work. The study is based on content analysis of theoretical resources from the sociology of disability and disability studies. This article outlines the current theoretical discourse of the social work in the context of disability, also presents typology of definitions, paradigms and theories of disability and theoretical disability models which are relevant to social work. In conclusion, it offered a possible application of the theoretical content of the study for the practice of social work.Keywords:
