The Power of Language in Use of Helping Workers in Context of Mental Illness

Abstract:
The paper is focused on language and its power in reality construction; it is based on Taylor’s and White’s concept mentioned in their book called “Practicing reflexivity in health and welfare”. The aim is to destabilize profesional rutine and ideas taken for granted. The goal of this text it to contribute to practicioners reflection; to make them think of their way of talking about themselves and the clients and the influence of those stories on preferences and occupational culture.
