Abstract:
This article entitled „Subsidiarity as fundamental constitutive principle of the social policy and the civic society“ deals with the principle of subsidiarity from the point of view of its conceptual content, historical developement, reflection in the context of social science and political philosophy. It presents reasons subsequently in favour of its more consistent reflection and application in the area of social policy and social work, espacially with considering tradition of the Catholic social doctrine and some impulses from the area of Christian social thought.Keywords:
