The Research in the Area of Informal Care for Seniors in the Czech Republic at the Beginning of the 21st Century

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to summarize various research activities in the field of the family care for older adults dependent on the care of others. It is focused on the studies of caregiving and informal caregivers; their attitudes, needs, motivations and support as well as the balancing of the care for older adults with other spheres of their life like the family, paid work and their own convalescence activities. Desk research methods and an analysis of accessible documents, reports and literature were used.Keywords:
