Clinical Social Work in the View of Professional Vocabulary and Terminology

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to propose current defining of clinical social work in the Slovak social work which will be in conformity with meaning of its understanding within Anglo-American and European environment. For this purpose vocabulary and terminological survey has been realized from the point of view of etymology and terminological using of this professional term with diachronic and synchronic context. From the methodological aspect there were used philological methods and content analyses of the selected sources. Although using of linguistic neologism clinical social work cannot be exactly defined in the Slovak language, despite of cultural specifics in different countries, there exists as minimum joint terminological accord that serves as basic platform for its preliminary definition and for drawing of perspectives of its potential development.Keywords:
